It’s that time of year again; the new year. Everyone in the WordLive team prays that God will bless you this coming year.
One theme that runs through the Bible is that of new beginnings. And a new year gives us a little impetus to turn over a new leaf and make a fresh start.
This year why not commit to reading the Bible each day using WordLive?
Or, if you want to go one step further, you’ll find from 1st January 2010 a new activity each day. The Bible in a year provides links to a couple of readings each day. And guess what? If you use this activity each day for 2010, you’ll have read the whole Bible by 31st December :)

the Bible in a year is a great idea and I'm going to do it, but why didn't you start at the start of each of the books? ( you started Gen 3,4 and Mat 2)
Hi Jude, we did start at Gen 1, that activity can be found here http://www.scriptureunion.org.uk/2981.id?sessionid=14557&activityid=76997 it may have something to do with when you accessed the page, or when your browser thought you accessed the page - computers still aren't as clever as us.
Anyway, for you, and anyone else who misses a day or slips behind, you can always use the forward and backward buttons next to the date to find the activity you've missed.
Thanks for the tip about moving through dates. But if one wants to read the bible in a year passages say weekly rather than daily, I have not been able to find a way to access them other than working through the daily wordlive and finding the activity under each day. Would it be possible to provide links from each bible in a year section to the next, or to provide the weekly list of passages for ease of access? Thanks

In todays word live it suggested 'giving money to someone on the streets'.The motive is excellent,but I would challenge the method;by all means give food ,but money can end up being spent on drink or drugs.My personal way of giving is by always buying a copy of 'the Big Issue' from registered vendors,and buy contributing a small amount of money each month to the YMCA's room sponsor scheme,which enables young people to get off the streets.
Good point Elizabeth. We regularly give to our Big Issue seller, who we also make sure we talk to whenever we see him.

I just watched the "your life has meaning"video with the Potter and had a great Idea for future videos in 2010:
Have someone read the prayer quietly with the music. Because of the passage of the Lord shown as a potter, I just wanted to meditate on that, but I did not want to miss the words of the prayers either. Perhaps after the prayer you could leave just the music and the potter for a minute, so we can meditate on the reality of our God wanting to mold us.

Once of the problems we have is getting text to be readable at the right resolution. Although we do have a couple of ideas and plans to try and sort that.
